😴 Why You Can’t Biohack Resilience
Stress isn't the enemy; it's the gateway to growth.
Stress isn't the enemy; it's the gateway to growth.
Sounds crazy, right?
But think about it. The only way to improve at anything in life is to deliberately engage in stress.
For example, if you want to learn a new skill, you read books, take courses, and engage in the difficult task of learning. It's an agitating and difficult process, but over time, with consistent exposure and rest, you acquire a new skill.
The same goes for exercise. If you want to get stronger, you lift weights that challenge your body. This stimulates an adaptive response, and over time, you get stronger.
The key to this entire process is ADAPTATION.
Adaptation requires two things:
The right dose of stress + the right dose of rest.
It's that simple.
This isn't a process you can biohack. There aren't shortcuts for long-term adaptive changes.
There are 5 foundational pillars that drive the adaptive process:
Sleep
Exercise
Mental Fitness
Nutrition
Community
There is nuance to these pillars, and over the next 6 weeks, we are going to unpack each pillar. I am going to provide you with actionable information you can implement now to become an adaptation machine.
